About the role
Due to continued growth, we are expanding our Financial Lines practice in Sydney and are seeking a talented Solicitor (1+ PQE) to join our high‑performing team. You will work closely with leading Sydney principals on complex, high‑value financial lines matters, supporting major insurer and corporate clients across:
Directors’ & Officers’ (D&O) liability
Financial Institutions liability
Professional Indemnity (PI)
Media & Technology risks
Coverage advice and defence work
This role offers meaningful responsibility early, exposure to sophisticated matters, and structured mentoring in a team that values excellence, collaboration and development. It is an ideal opportunity for a junior lawyer looking to build deep financial lines expertise within a nationally respected practice.
Desired Skills and Experience
About you
You will likely bring:
Around 1+ years’ post‑admission experience, ideally in insurance litigation
A genuine interest in financial lines and insurance law
Strong drafting and communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences
Initiative, confidence and a proactive approach to your development
The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
A strong academic background
A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn from experienced practitioners
