Job Description

Why the role?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development & Marketing Coordinator to join our team. We are looking for someone with a collaborative approach, personal drive and exceptional BD & Marketing skills to support the firm’s ambitious growth plans.

If this sounds like you, your duties will include:

  • Supporting the BD&M Managers on client team and practice group organisation, taking an active role in driving next steps and proactively contributing our success.
  • Developing and delivering event concepts in support of the firm’s client and BD plans, including providing on-the-ground support for major events and ensuring the effectiveness of all events is measured and the return on investment is assessed.
  • Supporting the team on the project management and execution of tender responses, presentations and capability statements.
  • Compiling firm and lawyer awards and directories submissions.
  • Ownership of the coordination of the firm’s sponsorships, including event and marketing initiatives associated with those sponsorships.
  • Undertaking client, competitor and industry research and analysis and making recommendations as to next steps because of your conclusions.
  • Maintaining and coordination firm branded merchandise and ad hoc client gifts.
  • Providing ad hoc support on other BD and marketing initiatives associated with the firm’s strategic BD&M plan.

Desired Skills and Experience

Who are you?

  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Comms, Law, Business, Commerce or a related discipline
  • At least 2 years of experience in professional services or business-to-business BD&M environment is essential
  • Previous experience in a similar role in a law firm favourable
  • High level of proficiency on Microsoft Office, in particular PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at any given time with both internal and external resources
  • You are curious, self-motivated, able to work at pace and hungry to provide excellent service
  • You have great people skills and an ability to work well in a team environment
  • You will have a healthy degree of autonomy and possess a ‘self-starter’ attitude who loves a challenge.
